Job Description

Reporting into the Regional CFO in Mumbai, The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Integrating the procurement & supply chain organization with the overall organization (Global and region) through business partnering, ensuring best contribution to the group wide objectives and priorities including profitability, growth and innovation; Closely liaise with the regional leadership team to be involved early enabling proactive engagement of the procurement function
  • Representing global procurement & supply chain in the region by category management, enabling effective rollout of global projects and processes and realization of procurement targets; Developing new opportunities from within the region;
  • Across the region, providing leadership and expertise in establishing and developing a passionate & high performing regional procurement organization covering all countries; Ensure compliance with global policies;
  • Understanding the demand and supply situation and dynamics in the local and regional markets and derive smart approach for category priorities
  • Developing and executing regional project pipelines (sourcing, excellence, supply chain, supplier partnerships) in alignment with the global project pipeline established by global procurement and including the local procurement project pipelines
  • Implementing comprehensive regional strategies and solutions targeting the best overall value for the group company
  • Including but not limited to savings, cost avoidance, efficiency improvements (automation, simplification, digitalization, supplier consolidation, business planning), supply chain integration (inventory optimization, lead time reduction, capacity utilization improvement, forecasting), net working capital optimization (inventories, payment terms)

The Successful Applicant

Ideally you have 12+ years of work experience and are specialised in Procurement (Direct/Indirect).You should be heading/leading procurement for multiple countries. You must have sound understanding of direct and indirect procurement in your respective industry. An Ideal candidate can come from pharma/medical devices/ automotive/chemical/manufacturing industry. You should possess good communication skills, interpersonal skills and leadership skills. You should have an excellent track record in your earlier professional stint and should be ready for the next challenging assignment.
