The Key Account Manager (Modern Trade) for the North & Central Region will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with modern trade accounts, such as Lifestyle, Shoppers Stop, NewU, Pantaloons, and Nykaa. The role focuses on strategic partnerships, category management, and driving business growth, requiring deep experience in the beauty industry and a strong understanding of modern trade operations.

Job Description

1. Strategic Account Management

  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at modern trade accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for strategic discussions and negotiations.
  • Develop and execute annual business plans to achieve sales, profitability, and growth targets for the region.
  • Collaborate with accounts to plan joint business strategies, promotions, and campaigns.



2. Negotiations & Partnerships

  • Lead negotiations for annual and quarterly agreements, including margins, activations, and visibility plans, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Identify and establish partnerships with new accounts and expand the company's presence in existing stores.



3. Expansion & Business Growth

  • Drive expansion in modern trade channels by identifying opportunities to open new doors and increase counter presence across the North & Central Region.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5-8 years of experience in the beauty industry, specifically managing modern trade accounts.
  • Candidate should come with experience - dealing with the FMCG industry, especially in cosmetics and toiletries.
  • Proven experience managing at least 100 doors/counters within modern trade stores.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of modern trade operations, category management, and beauty retail dynamics.
