It is one of the world's leading energy technology companies.Job DescriptionDevelopment of Mechanical Auxiliaries for New Products:Design and develop gearbox concepts, coupling arrangements, rotor turning devices, and related systems.Create and optimise systems such as lube oil, control & trip oil, gland/leak steam, drain, condenser, condensate evacuation, and other mechanical systems.Manage deliverable including PIDs, technical data, system descriptions, specifications, quality plans, technical guidelines, and tender calculations.Develop new R&D concepts and strategies based on "design to cost" principles, analyse and compare competitor designs, prepare R&D drawings and documentation, and ensure compliance with guidelines and customer specifications.Collaborate with customers and consultants for technical discussions and approvals, and report progress, risks, and key issues to management to ensure adherence to project schedules and milestones.Planning and Review:Plan and review mechanical auxiliary activities, coordinating with R&D global experts, engineering teams, and external partners.Interface with customers and consultants to ensure timely completion of project milestones.Project Management Support:Provide R&D technical support to project management, addressing technical challenges.Assist in cost control to meet contract requirements and keep the project within budget.Supply Management Support:Engage with vendors and supply chain teams to finalise specifications and technical requirements, both pre-order and post-order, to meet customer and contract expectations.Quality Management:Develop process and equipment documentation, including specifications for performance testing, work instructions, and inspection/test requirements, to ensure quality standards are met.Cost Reduction:Standardise specifications, purchase requirements, and engineering processes for equipment and activities to reduce engineering hours and improve cost efficiency.The Successful Applicant8-10 years of prior experience in R&D/Engineering as a Mechanical Auxiliaries Engineer.Strong technical expertise in steam turbine auxiliaries and their operation.Proficient in design tools such as AutoCAD, NX, Team Center, and COMOS.Practical experience in creating PIDs, GAs, specifications, and working with SAP.In-depth knowledge of turbine startup processes, deaerator selection, wander control valves, and sealing systems.Working understanding of instrumentation & control (I&C) and electrical products, as well as their integration with mechanical systems.Solid site experience and a comprehensive understanding of commissioning activities, with a strong rapport with vendors and customers.What's on Offer· Rewarding career· International opportunities· Diverse inclusive cultureQuote job refJN-112024-6590669Job summaryFunctionEngineering & ManufacturingSub SectorR&DWhat is your area of specialisation?Energy & Natural ResourcesLocationGurgaonJob TypePermanentJob ReferenceJN-112024-6590669
