Job Description

New Product Development (NPD)

  • Develop and formulate new detergent products aligned with market demands.
  • Conduct laboratory trials, stability tests, and pilot-scale trials to validate formulations.
  • Prepare product specifications, analytical methods, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).



Quality and Process Improvement

  • Analyze and optimize existing formulations for improved performance and cost efficiency.
  • Provide technical support to production teams for troubleshooting and enhancing product quality.
  • Perform root cause analysis on product complaints and implement corrective measures.



Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure products adhere to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate lab records, formulation documentation, and trial reports.
  • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and technical data.



Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with procurement on raw material evaluation and supplier technical discussions.
  • Assist marketing with technical data, product samples, and validation of claims.
  • Work with quality teams to develop testing protocols for new products.



Innovation and Market Research

  • Monitor emerging trends, competitor products, and technological advancements.
  • Identify opportunities for sustainable, eco-friendly formulations and packaging innovations.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to improve product performance.

The Successful Applicant

  • B.Tech/M.Tech Degree. MBA will be highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in detergent formulation and process development.
  • Strong background in new product development, quality improvement, and process optimization.
  • Proven expertise in conducting lab trials, stability testing, and scaling up formulations to production.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards in product development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including procurement, marketing, production, and quality.
  • Experience in driving innovation through research on new raw materials, technologies, and sustainable solutions.
  • Strong documentation skills, with experience preparing specifications, SOPs, and supporting audits.
  • Effective communication skills, both technical and interpersonal, to support supplier and stakeholder interactions.
