Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials, energy, and packaging.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and maintain quality standards.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for sourcing and cost optimisation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business goals.
  • Oversee supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage the procurement budget and ensure compliance with organisational policies.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and safety standards in procurement processes.
  • Develop roadmap and projects to achieve CO2 emissions reduction targets for India including:Coordination with BU to validate REED reporting figures

The Successful Applicant

A successful Purchasing Director should have:

  • A degree in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in procurement within the chemical industry.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement strategies for raw materials, energy, and packaging.



· Minimum of 8 years of purchasing, commercial or business experience

· Successful experience working in a global organization environment.

· Strong leadership skills, positive experience in creating organizational change.
