About Our Client

Our client is one of the leading chemical manufacturing company in India. They are looking to hire a Project Lead who will lead the project for bio-platforms (sorbitol, other sweeteners and starch derivatives, ethanol).

Job Description

  • Evaluate process technology providers, stay abreast of industry advancements and integrate new technologies that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve sustainability
  • Lead the design and construction phases of the new chemicals plant, coordinating with engineering firms, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and on-budget delivery
  • Develop and implement processes for the production of chemicals, focusing on efficiency, safety, and quality. Utilize advanced engineering principles to optimize existing processes
  • Oversee the operational budget, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality or safety
  • Build and lead a diverse team of engineers and operational staff, promoting a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety audits and training to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess plant performance, using data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the plant post- commissioning, ensuring adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations, and operational protocols

The Successful Applicant

  • Educational Background:Bachelor degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 10 years of experience in a projects/operations role for bio-based products.
  • Should come with strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Should have hands-on experience in assessing technologies, liaising with technology providers/ EPCs, plant design, process optimization, compliance / regulations, etc.
