Product Development & Sourcing Director (Apparel)

About Our Client

Our client is a listed business with a diverse portfolio of lifestyle apparel brand and strong experiences in private label manufacturing.

Contributing to the Global Sourcing Operating plan by developing a framework for key operating initiatives, developing criteria for prioritisation, formalising reporting & risk assessment, and ensuring accountability and execution of agreed deliverables
Evaluating global and local sustainability practices and trends, as well as peer performances for bench-marking and implementation at group level
Compile and analyse data from various cross functional partners and formulate business strategy rooted in data, consumer insights, trend and innovation for all product development activities
Oversee the specifications process and the apparel development teams to assure the on-time development, engineering, and accurate specification publication
Negotiate cost, lead-time, MOQ and flexible inventory plans with vendors and suppliers
Maintain a regular cadence of internal communications and engagement initiatives to ensure all key leaders and stakeholders remain up to date and aligned

Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or other related disciplines
At least 15+ years experience in the global sourcing field with strong product knowledge and expertise in the apparel industry
Proven experience in building a competitive supply base and drive operational excellence to deliver quality products at the best price
Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Excellent interpersonal skills
Fluency in English, and Mandarin/Cantonese
Ability to work in a matrix organisation and engage stakeholders from different backgrounds
