Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for the sourcing.
  • Optimize cost through competitive bidding, supplier development and alternate sourcing.
  • Plan, coordinate, monitor and support Strategic sourcing activities for Direct Materials for Power & Distribution Transformer factory within framework of policies and guideline of the company and SE AG with the objective of achieving and exceeding the business goals and striving for customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for Procurement of Direct Commodities of Transformers i.e. Copper, CRGO, Insulation, Tanks, Bushings, Tap Changers, Measuring Instruments, Control Panels etc.
  • Negotiate techno-commercial terms, long-term supply agreements and service contracts.
  • Build and sustain strong supplier relationships ensuring adherence to quality, safety and delivery standards.
  • Manage both domestic and international sourcing, including direct & indirect materials.
  • Deliver the Right Quality product in Right Quantity at Right Time from Right Source at Right Price at Right Place.
  • Responsible for activities such as analyzing the user requirement, review the budget, time schedule & EHS requirements
  • Comply all offers technically with the help of user department, cost estimations, negotiations, TOCO Analysis.
  • Improve supplier performance based on feedback through periodical review on product, services & processes to achieve improvement in cost, quality & time frame.
  • Engage with stakeholders across planning, procurement, design, manufacturing, logistics and after-sales functions.
  • Support for the Bidding Team for Tendering & Must-Win Projects
  • Ensure supply chain resilience to maintain business growth
  • Ensure sustainability throughout the supply chain process to ensure the compliance of ESG -(Environmental, Social & Governance)
  • Maintain the KPI as per Business Targets
  • Ensure smooth alignment with Global Commodity Team to match business goals for Globally managed commodities

The Successful Applicant

  • B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical
  • 15 - 20 years relevant experience of Strategic Sourcing of Direct Commodities of Power & Distribution Transformers.
  • Expertise in e-Auction will be a great advantage
  • Strong leadership skills to lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • Experience in strategic vendor management and contract negotiations.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and implement innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
