The Head of Captive Power Plant will lead the operations, maintenance, and optimization of the power plant within the metals/steel industry. This role requires a strong technical background and proven experience in managing power plant systems to ensure efficiency and reliability.

Job Description

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of the captive power plant to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and analyse plant performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and training as required.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of the power plant with manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare and manage the budget for the power plant operations.
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering (Master's preferred).

25+ years of overall experience, including:

    • 10+ years in power plant operations and maintenance.
    • 5+ years in a senior leadership role within power plant management.
  • Strong knowledge of boilers, turbines, generators, and related equipment.
  • Proven track record in operational excellence and team leadership.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Exposure of Power Plant Project
  • Must have worked in CFBC, AFBC, WHRB (Boilers) and Steam Turbines
  • Must be BOE Certified
