Looking for Plant HR Head to be based out of Daman. Candidate with 15 to 20 years of Plant HR role with last 5 years being in a Plant Head HR role would be suitable. The role focuses on managing workforce planning, employee relations, compliance, and fostering a productive and engaged workforce in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:1. HR Strategy & Implementation

  • Develop and implement HR policies and practices tailored to the plant's operational needs.
  • Align plant HR objectives with corporate strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.



2. Talent Acquisition & Management

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for the plant, ensuring the availability of skilled manpower.
  • Facilitate onboarding and induction processes for new hires.
  • Identify skill gaps and implement targeted training programs to upskill employees.



3. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Build and maintain harmonious relationships with unions and worker representatives.
  • Negotiate and manage long-term wage settlements, ensuring industrial harmony.



4. Statutory Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to all labor laws, factory regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and maintain proper documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate HR-related risks.



5. Performance Management

  • Drive the performance appraisal process and ensure timely feedback and goal-setting.
  • Develop recognition programs to reward high-performing individuals and teams.



6. HR Operations & Reporting

  • Manage payroll, attendance, and leave systems for the plant workforce.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and generate HR metrics for management reporting.
  • Leverage HR technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.



7. Workplace Safety & Welfare

  • Collaborate with the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) team to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Oversee welfare initiatives like housing, canteen, and medical facilities for employees.

The Successful Applicant

  • Education: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, or an equivalent degree.
  • Experience:
    • 15-20 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a manufacturing or plant-based environment.
    • Strong background in industrial relations and statutory compliance.
