They are looking for an Operations Excellence Head to lead a team of 6-7 professionals to manage Operations Excellence function across all the plants. The position will be based at their largest Mfg site in RaigadJob Description Reporting into the Head of Operations and managing a team, you will be responsible for:Leading the organization's operational excellence and six sigma efforts and drive continuous improvement culture through training, co-ordination and implementation of principles of Lean/Six Sigma in day-to-day operation while ensuring cost optimization.Acting as a link between the organization's improvement projects and the executive leadership and ensure they prioritize projects that align with strategic goals of the organization.Implementing long term initiatives in the organization & mentor and build capabilities of his/her team and employees at the plant.Reviewing on an on-going basis the multiple improvement projects across different functional areas and review progress with a focus on improving processes, cost reduction and enhancing output (Production, Maintenance, Capacity, Quality, Engineering, Process Engineering, ETP and Technical Services)Advising management on the needs or cost of poor quality of an operation and consult on methods & approach to address these problems.Setting scope, goals, timelines and milestones for all the projects that are running and plan in advance for expected projects in the near future and Ensuring best practices and improvements are horizontally deployed at all locations and keeping a close track of cost saving associated with the projects and ensure timely closureDriving collaboration and synergies across departments to achieve seamless project executionBuilding capabilities of employees and drive a culture of excellence at the plant sitesMonitoring the performance of team under him/her on a continuous basis to identify key performers and course correct as requiredThe Successful ApplicantIdeally you are a full time engineer with at least 15 years of experience in driving operational excellence and driving process improvements and cost reduction projects in a Manufacturing set up; preferably in Chemical, Petrochemical, Fertilizer sectors, Pharmaceutical and FMCG. You should be well versed with Implementation of latest management tools and methodologies like Six Sigma, TPM, Lean, IMS, 5S, Kaizen, Innovation, Business Process Re-engineering etc. You should have excellent influential and persuasive skills to be able to manage conversation with senior stakeholders to get projects executed. You should own the project and deliver.
