You can play a pivotal role in shaping the firm's growth trajectory, assuming responsibility for critical functions and earning long-term equity through your contributions. Working closely with the Founder / Fund Manager, your efforts will leave a lasting impact on both client outcomes and the firm's strategic foundations. Depending on the candidate's interest and aptitude, there will also be opportunities to earn exposure to front-office functions such as fund raising and industry research.Job DescriptionEnsuring integrity and completeness of financial records including transaction processing, reconciliations and operation of accounting processes and policiesPreparation of fund management information including fund / investor-level NAV, portfolio and investment performance, capital calls, distribution notice statementsOversee and manage the firm's vendors / advisor to deliver accounting, tax, and company secretarial compliance outcomes for all group entities, including statutory accounts, audits, tax filings, company secretarial processes.Investor administration, including on boarding new investors, quarterly reporting to existing investors, general liaison with investors and their representatives, work with US vendor to prepare annual K-1 tax filings etc.Handling quarterly & annual Investor reportingCoordinate with the investment team to facilitate trade execution, treasury managementFund regulatory compliance, including making regular filings and bespoke data requests from SEBI, and ensuring ongoing compliance with FEMA, FATCA/CRS, KYC/AML, and other similar matters across jurisdictions applicable to the groupMiscellaneous reports and analysis as called uponThere is added potential for an individual to get involved in broader fund management functions, such as:Collaborating with the Founder on fund-raise activities, investor meetings and strategic mattersLeading activities related to portfolio management and monitoring, etcThe Successful ApplicantA natural leader, initiative taker who thrives in an entrepreneurial setting"Doer + Thinker": A bias towards action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done, but also take a step back to think strategically about whether we are doing the right thingsLong-term DNA: invests with a multi-year view, and chooses long-term benefits over short-term challengesIntellectual curiosity and genuine passion for learningDriven by a desire to Excel at their craft; strive for PerfectionAbility to creatively solve problems from first principles, without anchoring on conventional wisdom or "how things are done in the industry"Kind, Empathetic and CollaborativeQualified Chartered Accountant or CPAPost qualification experience of at least 3 and up to 7 years in industry/ Big 4 experience in accounting, finance, controllership and strategic management.
