Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager - Global Commercial Division (GCD):

  • Manage end-to-end import operations for engineering and project equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost optimization.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping companies to streamline logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, IMDG code, customs requirements, and packaging standards.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation: invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, declarations.
  • Build and manage vendor relationships; negotiate contracts with logistics service providers and track performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams-engineering, procurement, and finance-to align import strategies with project timelines.
  • Support planning and movement of ODC and capital items in coordination with logistics and site teams.
  • Track and report import budgets, KPIs, and country-specific regulatory updates.
  • Drive continuous improvement in supply chain and import operations for engineering and project categories.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives related to new product development, capital expansion, and global sourcing.

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience handling import logistics within the chemical industry or similar sectors.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping standards.
  • Strong skills in vendor management and cost optimisation.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
  • An analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.
