About Our Client
Our client is a leading FMCD company. They have built a strong differentiation across various aspects of the Home Products value chain. They are looking for a Business Head who will be responsible for acquiring and implementing their logistics assets and run that as a business for them. They would use their logistics fleet to generate revenue from the market.
Job Description
Reporting into the CXO of the organization, you will be responsible for :
- Planning and implementing the overall supply chain solution for potential clients of the business. Making projections on resource requirements and pricing for implementing such solutions.
- Taking the business to market with the right sales, implementation and pricing strategy and developing such plans from scratch for the launch of a new business.
- Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies.
- Supporting the strategic planning of the organization by developing short-to-medium range plans for the division.
- Management and handling of the RFQ response documents coming to the company for Logistics Business.
- Maintaining close working relationships with the Customer Service, Operations and Logistics team.
- Maintaining and managing the financial forecast and cost projections for new business submission.
- Planning and implementing the overall supply chain solution for potential clients of the business. Making projections on resource requirements and pricing for implementing such solutions.
- Planning, hiring, training and ongoing coaching for the contract team.
- Implementing the strategic delivery model that will effectively cover the customer's current and projected markets
- Collaborating with product team to drive system and operational improvements that will improve delivery efficiencies and result in lower cost per delivery goals in each market.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery
The Successful Applicant
Ideally you are a Postgraduate in Supply Chain courses from a Tier 1 institute ( NITIE, SP Jain, IIMs ISB, FMS and others) and you should have an overall 8-14 years of experience in managing Logistics and Distribution functions with Logistics and Transportation companies. You should have experience in big box logistics solutions and NOT the express logistics. You should have the entrepreneurial spirit to start a business, implement the model and grow the business. You should be very strong in the Logistics and Distribution domain and should have excellent track record in your earlier professional stint and should be ready for the next challenging assignment
