The role of Legal Head will involve overseeing all legal matters, ensuring compliance, and managing legal risks for the company. This position is based in Mumbai and requires an experienced professional with expertise in legal strategy and operations

Job Description

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to senior management on all corporate and project-related matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national laws, regulations, and policies relevant to the property and construction industry.
  • Manage litigation and disputes, working closely with external legal counsel as required including RERA, consumer disputes and civil suits
  • Oversee due diligence processes for property acquisitions and other transactions.
  • Develop and implement policies to mitigate legal risks and ensure best practices.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise on their potential impact on the organisation.
  • Lead and mentor the legal team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Head should have:

  • A degree in Law from a recognised university or institution.
  • At-least ten years of overall experience with proven expertise in corporate law, property law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in managing legal matters within the property and building & construction industry.
