Legal Counsel role supporting a private banking platform across PMS, broking, and lending businesses, with a strong focus on commercial contracts, regulatory matters, and partner onboarding. The position offers broad, business-facing exposure and involvement in new initiatives, working closely with senior leadership and global teams.

Job Description

  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with PMS providers, AIFs, REITs/InvITs and intermediaries
  • Manage onboarding documentation for RIA, sub-brokers and referral partners
  • Support LAS documentation and DSA arrangements with banks/NBFCs
  • Draft and negotiate MSAs, SaaS agreements, NDAs and vendor contracts
  • Manage office leases, renewals and compliance documentation
  • Provide day-to-day legal support and coordinate with external counsel
  • Support new business initiatives, including IFSC/GIFT City

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified lawyer with 10-12 years' experience in financial services/wealth/banking legal roles
  • Strong experience in PMS, AIFs, broking or lending-related documentation
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills across commercial and financial agreements
  • Solid understanding of SEBI and RBI regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Business-oriented mindset with strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Prior experience in private banking, wealth management, NBFCs, or top-tier law firms preferred
