The hiring company is a Zerodha Funded Start up organisation and its is a fitness-tech and endurance-sports platform focused on running communities, event registrations, fitness engagement, and digital health experiences, currently scaling its technology platform ahead of rapid traffic growth

Job Description

  • Develop and maintain robust backend systems to support the organisation's technology services.
  • Collaborate with product and frontend teams to design and implement APIs and system integrations.
  • Optimise server-side performance to ensure scalability and reliability of applications.
  • Implement and maintain database structures to support application requirements.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in backend development.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and high performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest backend technologies and methodologies to improve systems.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Lead Backend Engineer should have:

  • A strong foundation in backend development and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Experience with database management systems like MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of API design and integration for scalable applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
