Our client is a leading OEM in the automobile space with a country wide presence. They have multiple manufacturing facilities and R&D centres

Job Description

Design of Speedometer

  • Hardware design and module development for VE system Instrument Clusters
  • Strong understanding of Related Automotive Homologation requirements and EMC Design Guidelines
  • Good Exposure and Understanding on various Automotive Display Technology Components and their application and optimised usage
  • Expert in identification of failure modes of the electronic modules and their mitigation methods
  • Develop HW using dev'p tools (ex. Spice, Orcad etc.) and simulation tools for thermal and vibration analysis, like Ansys, Altair, etc.
  • Design of Logic board (Micro controller and FPGA/Xilinx based), Analog board, Power board.
  • Design of key electronics components and subassemblies including mosfets, IC's, gate drive boards, capacitor, power stage, etc.

Development of Speedometer

  • BOM Control, Layout development (Gerber), Drive mechanical and electrical parts development and integration.

Problem solving and Implementation of Corrective measures

  • Trouble shooting and analysis of system level defects
  • Analyse data and generate reports and make design changes

Preparing Design Records and Testing Data

  • Testing and validation support and test case definition for SIL, HIL and vehicle testing
  • Testing / Debugging circuits / logics independently through proper tools

The Successful Applicant

  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics. Advanced Qualifications are an advantage.
  • HW Architecture and HW Design Experience in Automotive field
  • Hardware design through proper tools like Spice, Orcad etc
  • Understanding of thermal and electrical simulation, experience with simulation tools (ex: Ansys, Opera, Altair, JMag) would be a plus
  • System Level Understanding and Finalise specifications based on System requirement and finalise test methodology
  • Understanding of IPC, PCB design standards
  • Understanding on EMC effects and analysis
  • Understanding of Automotive Standards & Functional Safety. E.g. ISO 26262 as well as of safety and EMI requirements related to high power applications
  • Understanding of Automotive grade standards, like AEC Q100.
  • Knowledge of Communication Protocols I2C, SPI, CAN, LIN
