Job Description

  • Lead the full sourcing strategy for herbs, spices, and agri raw materials across India and Asia, covering supplier development, cost, inventory, and sustainability.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier networks through field visits, audits, and continuous revalidation while managing risk, positions, and hedging decisions.
  • Deliver market intelligence through monthly commodity outlooks, crop insights, climate impact assessments, and customer-facing presentations.
  • Partner with Sales, Planning, Finance, and Sustainability teams to align pricing, forecasts, compliance, payables, and operational readiness.
  • Lead and develop a multi-level sourcing team, strengthen processes and SOPs, and drive improvements in BP days, aged stock, scorecards, and DIFOT.

The ideal candidate is someone who comes with 10-15 years of experience and thinks like a true commodities professional sharp with supply-demand logic, calm in volatility, and confident forming a market view backed by data and field insights. They've spent years navigating traded categories with integrity, building supplier trust, and taking smart, risk-managed positions. They're equally comfortable in crop fields and customer boardrooms, able to publish clear market commentary and lead conversations with authority. They bring stability, curiosity, and the ability to build systems while leading a sourcing team through a fast-moving, insight-driven function.
