Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsSenior Opportunity with a Leading Automotive SupplierAn opportunity to head both Procurement & Supply ChainAbout Our ClientOur client is a leading Auto Component Manufacturing Organisation specialising in both electronics and mechanical components and have multiple manufacturing plants across the country in addition to dedicated R&D CentresJob DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Lead and manage the entire procurement function including raw materials for electronics, mechanical, and plastics components, indirect procurement and SCM functions across PPC, Stores, Logistics & Exim ensuring cost competitiveness and quality compliance.Strategize and execute international (60%) and domestic (40%) sourcing to balance cost, quality, lead times, and risk mitigation.Focusing on categories such as tooling, die casting, plastic injection molding, and sheet metal processes.Drive supplier development, negotiation, contract management, and maintain strong supplier relationships globally.Oversee Production Planning & Control (PPC) to align procurement with production schedules and optimise inventory levels.Lead the stores and warehouse management ensuring efficient inventory control, minimisation of wastage, and timely availability of materials.Manage logistics and distribution to ensure smooth inbound and outbound supply chain operations including customs and Exim compliance.Implement best practices in procurement, supply chain management, and vendor performance evaluation to continuously improve operational efficiency.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and supply chain team.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Manufacturing to support business objectives.Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal regulations, and sustainability standards in procurement practices.The Successful ApplicantQualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering is a must and MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.Minimum 20+ years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management within the auto component manufacturing sector, with a focus on both electronics and mechanical components.Proven experience managing large-scale procurement budgets and international sourcing.Strong knowledge of raw materials procurement including tooling, die casting, plastic injection molding, and sheet metal processes in addition to Electronic Components with an emphasis on Electric VehiclesHands-on experience in PPC, stores management, logistics, and international trade (Exim).Demonstrated leadership in managing large teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a strategic mindset.Familiarity with ERP and SCM software systemsKey Competencies:Strategic Sourcing & Supplier ManagementInternational & Domestic Procurement ExpertiseBudget & Spend ManagementProduction Planning & Inventory ControlLogistics & Supply Chain OptimizationPeople Leadership & Team DevelopmentContract Negotiation & Risk ManagementCross-Functional CollaborationCompliance & Regulatory AwarenessWhat's on OfferLeadership role in a prestigious auto component manufacturing companyOpportunity to work on cutting-edge products in electronics and mechanical domainsCompetitive compensation and benefits packageCollaborative and innovative work environmentCareer growth and professional development opportunitiesQuote job refJN-092025-6830061Job summaryFunctionProcurement & Supply ChainSub SectorProcurement ManagementWhat is your area of specialisation?Industrial / ManufacturingLocationGurgaonJob TypePermanentJob ReferenceJN-092025-6830061
