Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with quality and performance standards.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate optimal terms with vendors and suppliers.
  • Oversee procurement processes, including sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business needs and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all procurement activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain functions.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for the procurement team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Procurement should have:

  • A degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
  • Proven expertise in civil, construction or infrastructure procurement and supply chain operations
  • Experience of managing procurement for a plant or brownfield or a greenfield project
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams effectively
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimization and strategic planning
