Our client is one of the upcoming innovative energy solutions platform for Home and Mobility segments offering Automotive and Inverter batteries, Inverters and related Power electronics.It is an upcoming largest ste up in EV manufacturing in India.

Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for the overall management and performance of motor manufacturing plant, ensuring that it operates efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company policies and industry regulations. He / she will be accountable for setting up / streamlining of motor plant and stabilising production. Key deliverables will be meeting production targets, quality standards, cost control and statutory & environmental compliance.Strategic Planning:

· Develop and execute plant-specific business plans in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.

· Identify and support New Business Opportunities.

· Ideate and implement strategic improvements for production, quality, and manpower utilization throughout the plant.

· Investigate and implement innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs, improve product quality & increase profits.Operations Management:

· Ensure Motor Plant is set-up and streamlined as per the requirement

· Plan, coordinate, and oversee all plant operations, including production, maintenance, logistics, and quality control.

· Monitor and drive improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

· Ensure that production schedules and targets are met on time and within budget.

· Driving the culture of VA / VE and other improvements in product and processes.

· Ensure customer concerns are addressed on priority by the team and preventive actions, where required, are put in place.

· Ensure processes are put in place for inventory management to optimize costs.

· Ensure that robust maintenance planning routines and methods (Inspections & preparation) are in place to optimize/maximize plant performance

· Oversee material sourcing and material availability

· Responsible for P&L of the business by maintaining raw material cost and other costs at optimum level in line with best-in-class industry standards

Quality Control:

· Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure products meet or exceeds customer expectations.

· Ensure implementation of quality assurance procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Ensure implementation of Quality Management System for the plant.

Resource Management:

· Build, Manage and develop a high performing team that delivers on business plans.

· Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize production output.

· Foster an inclusive workplace culture by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Ensure fair labor practices, prioritize employee well-being, and provide opportunities for skill development and advancement.

· Control costs by developing and managing budgets and cost reduction strategies.

· Will be responsible for Capex and Opex of the plant.Safety, Compliance and ESG:

· Ensure culture of safety and compliance by enforcing safety protocols and regulatory compliance measures to protect employees and the environment.

· Stay up to date with industry regulations and ensure adherence.

· Ensure regular safety audits are conducted and corrective actions are implemented, as needed.

· Ensure delivery on 'Environmental, Social and Governance' Goals of the organization.

· Ensure transparent communication of the plant's performance, particularly concerning environmental and social impact, including regular reporting on sustainability initiatives and progress towards ESG goals.

· Implement effective risk management strategies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards to maintain a responsible and sustainable operation.Communication and Reporting:

· Communicate regularly with the leadership team to provide updates on plant performance and issues.

· Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, production goals, and other relevant metrics.

The Successful Applicant

M.Tech / B. Tech / B.E - Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical

Minimum 20+ years, with about 10 years in similar capacity of running a motor assembly plant

Product Companies, preferably in Automotive Motor Production

Understanding of e-mobility, automotive and Motor business

Experience of plant management. Experience of P&L management will be of added advantage.

Knowledge of Motor / Mechanical / Electrical manufacturing process and related know-how

Proven experience in handling Plant Operations which includes lean manufacturing & mass production

Techno-commercial expertise

Having experience of setting-up lines and getting them to production readiness

Results orientation with ability to plan and deliver against target deadlines

Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders, suppliers and other stakeholders
