Job Description

Head - Payroll - CA / MBA (Finance) | Mumbai City | Manufacturing and Production

  • Deliver continuous improvement and transformation projects in the payroll
  • Manage Payroll Accounting
  • Should have managed employee headcount of 20,000+ for payroll slips
  • Lead and manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to payroll and taxation.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to manage employee compensation and benefits efficiently.
  • Maintain and update payroll systems and records for accuracy and transparency.
  • Prepare payroll reports and provide insights to senior management for decision-making.
  • Handle escalations and resolve payroll-related queries promptly.
  • Oversee audits related to payroll and ensure adherence to internal controls.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head - Payroll - CA / MBA (Finance) should have:

  • A CA or MBA qualification with a focus on finance, accounting, or related fields.
  • Expereince in tools like SAP, Peoplestrong, Darwinbox, Successfactors
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, statutory compliance, and tax regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale payroll operations.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and handling employee payroll queries.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex payroll scenarios.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
