Looking to hire a Head of Operations for a leading company in EPC and Heavy Engineering industry. The role will be based out of Mumbai and will report into MD of the company.

Our client is one of the leading companies in the EPC and Heavy Engineering industry. They are currently one of the market leaders in the space where in they operate.

Job Description

Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing the company's operational strategy for the successful execution of EPC projects
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Developing and managing project budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and identifying areas for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks, including project delays, supply chain disruptions, and safety hazards.
  • Ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements, company policies, industry standards, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines.
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational effectiveness, and providing regular reports to senior management on project performance, milestones, and potential issues.
  • Overseeing the negotiation and management of contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Mentoring and managing operations teams, fostering a collaborative, performance-driven culture.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
  • More than 20 years of experience in operations with at least 3-4 years in a leadership position, with exposure to working in similar EPC and manufacturing set up.
  • Strong understanding of regulations, and compliance.
  • Strong technical background in oil and gas or energy and equipment solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage global stakeholders effectively.
