This role heads Logistics function of the company and reports into Head of Supply Chain Management. It has end-to-end responsibility for ensuring deliveries to the customers both in domestic and international markets. All warehouses are coming under the responsibility of this role too.

About Our Client

Our client is a prominent player in the Industrial Manufacturing and Chemical industry, boasting a significant presence across India with a large workforce.

Job Description

  • Continuously fine tune distribution infrastructure that supports customer requirements in the most cost effective and efficient manner; create distribution solutions which optimize cost and value equation
  • Prepare the Budget for all operational expenses; monitor and review performance against target
  • Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios
  • Research and evaluate transporters, Forwarders & 3PL W/H operators based on criteria such as optimal delivery, rates and freight cost
  • Network planning from time to time as required.
  • Ensure the export documentation is glitch free and organization & Customers avails all possible incentives
  • Ensure all statutory compliance and proper documentation is maintained
  • Ensure that all safety norms are adhered to in all warehouses; conduct safety and housekeeping audits at regular intervals; compliance with ISO standards
  • Familiarity with logistics software and technologies, such as ERP systems and transportation management systems
  • Responsible for development of team members.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Logistics Head should have:

  • Minimum education: Master's in supply chain
  • Minimum Experience: 10-20 years of experience in logistics wherein should have spent at least 3 years as head of the function at regional/Pan India level.
  • Experience in managing logistics projects from inception to completion
