Job Description

  • Provide strategic legal advice and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the banking sector
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Manage legal risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate potential liabilities.
  • Oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes, ensuring the company's interests are safeguarded.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with legal policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to support the company's objectives in the financial services industry
  • Lead and manage the legal team to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head Legal should have:

  • A recognised degree in Law from a reputable institution and 15 years of experience
  • Experience in handling legal matters within the banking or financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal negotiations and disputes effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a team and collaborate with stakeholders.
