Job Description

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit strategy to ensure regulatory compliance in the life insurance industry.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify areas of improvement in financial and operational processes.
  • Lead internal audit projects and provide detailed reports to senior management.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations in all financial and operational activities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Provide recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance efficiency in accounting and finance processes.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in internal auditing.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head - Internal Audit should have:

  • A professional qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in internal auditing within the life insurance industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial policies in the insurance sector.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
