Our client is a fast-growing manufacturer based in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, catering to B2B manufacturing industry. Job Description

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the promoter group, you will be responsible for setting up and leading the HR function(plant + corporate). This is a high-impact role requiring a hands-on leader who can operate in an evolving environment while building robust HR processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the end-to-end HR function for the plant workforce (200-300+ employees), including contract labor
  • Drive workforce planning and talent acquisition, especially for new business units
  • Build and implement HR policies, processes, and systems to bring structure and scalability
  • Partner closely with operations to ensure smooth workforce management and productivity
  • Manage employee engagement, retention, and welfare, particularly within a semi-skilled labor environment
  • Proactively mitigate industrial relations risks and ensure a stable work environment
  • Oversee payroll, compliance, and statutory requirements
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and promoter on people-related matters
  • Drive culture building and organizational development initiatives



The Successful Applicant

  • 10-15 years of experience in HR, with strong exposure to manufacturing or plant HR
  • Proven experience managing a workforce of 200-300+ employees, including contract labor
  • Strong grounding in core HR with working exposure to industrial relations (candidates with initial IR experience and recent HR focus preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured, and high-growth environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership
  • Fluency in Tamil is mandatory
  • Prior experience in Tier 2/3 locations or plant-based roles is highly preferred
