Job Description

  • Lead and manage all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategic financial plans to support business growth within the retail industry.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with senior management to evaluate and manage financial risks effectively.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify opportunities for cost optimisation, and implement necessary improvements.
  • Ensure efficient cash flow management and oversee tax planning and compliance.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve individual and departmental goals.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Finance should have:

  • 8-10 years of experience in food retail chain/restaurants or similar field.
  • A strong educational background in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience in the retail or food multiples/supermarket industry is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a finance team.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A thorough understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the finance sector.
