Job Description

Lead & Inspire: Build, lead, and motivate a 100+ member academic team including subject experts, content developers, reviewers, designers, and program managers.

● Execute at Scale: Translate curriculum frameworks into comprehensive, high-quality academic content-textbooks, lesson plans, assessments, digital assets, and teacher training materials.

● Ensure Excellence with Discipline: Establish and maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and timeliness through strong project management, process discipline, and quality assurance systems.

● Optimize for Outcomes: Use classroom observations, teacher and school feedback, and student learning data to refine content, ensuring superior in-class implementation and improved student learning outcomes.

● Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with leadership, product, and technology teams to ensure academic programs are effectively integrated and scalable.

● Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement systems and processes to enhance quality, operational efficiency, and innovation within the academic organization.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Academics should have:

  1. Proven experience in managing large teams
  2. Strong academic pedigree
  3. Significant exposure in designing and scaling educational programs (Exposure with managing higher education curriculum will be preferred)
  4. Deep understanding of K-12 pedagogy and content design across multiple subjects.
  5. Strong operational execution discipline and process design capabilities.
  6. Excellent people management, mentoring, and communication skills.
  7. Proficiency in leveraging technology and AI for academic design and operations.
  8. Ability to balance academic depth with practical execution and scalability
