The GL Accounting Lead will play a pivotal role in overseeing general ledger operations of APAC and EMEA regions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and leading process improvements.This position is ideal for individuals with strong technical expertise (GL Accounting) in accounting and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Description

  • Drive timely and accurate month-end closures, ensuring comprehensive general ledger finalization and integrity.
  • Prepare and report annual financials for APAC and EMEA regions as per IFRS within defined timelines.
  • Coordinate statutory audits and ensure timely closures.
  • Schedule key milestones (Board meetings, audit sign-offs) and align internal teams.
  • Drive timely and accurate month-end closures across finance functions.
  • Maintain clean and compliant books of accounts.
  • Liaise with Group controllers for consolidation reporting.
  • Ensure statutory compliance across applicable regulations.
  • Implement process improvements and automation.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances with timely sign-offs.

The Successful Applicant

  • A successful GL Accounting Lead should have:
  • CA is a must with 15+ years of experience
  • Prior experience in APAC or EMEA region is a must
  • Strong GL Accounting background
  • Practical knowledge of IndAS, IGAAP and IFRS required
  • Understanding of the Accounting and MIS Systems
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Team size of 10+ managed in the past
