We are seeking a dedicated Finance professional to join in as a Finance Controller/Finance Lead for a fast growing start-up based out of Bangalore. This role will require you to work closely with the CEO while being responsible for FP&A, finance controllership, corporate accounting, financial risk and strategies and other aspects within the domain.

Our client is a Bangalore based fast growing multi-segmented D2C e-commerce platform with over 1,500 brands bridges the gap between eco-conscious values and consumer lifestyle aspirations and are looking to grow their team here in India.

Job Description

  • Work closely with the CEO to analyse financials, prepare strategies and ensure financial health of the company.
  • Manage and oversee all financial reporting, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, providing actionable insights for cost optimization.
  • Evaluate commercial terms with vendors, partners, and marketplaces.
  • Ensure timely and accurate MIS reports for leadership and investors.
  • Prepare ROI analysis on promotional strategies and new launch initiatives.
  • Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
  • Handle corporate taxation, transfer pricing, internal audits and statutory audits and compliance.
  • Monitor cash flow and forecast future financial trends.
  • Lead finance process automation initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the finance team to drive performance and efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

  • Professional qualification such as CA is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4-8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably across the ConsumerTech/Retail/D2C space.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
  • Experience in managing audits and working with external auditors.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator with experience in stakeholder management, investor communication and cross-functional collaboration.
