Engineering Head for a leading rotating equipment mfg company

Reporting to the director of engineering you will be responsible for :

• Understanding the Project Scope, contractual requirements including timelines and lay down the roadmap
• for executing engineering deliverables within time, quality & cost for timely execution of projects
• Planning overall activities of design and engineering to ensure delivery of design documents
• within time, quality and cost through -
• Developing, Drafting, Checking (after review by customer or their consultant, as required) ,
• and Releasing the engineering details (including the drawings & other details) for different
• components to Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
• Review of the project execution from engineering perspective & address any concerns or
• issues at the time of manufacturing or procurement.
• Review, analyze and approve all design calculations including mechanical, thermal etc. against
• orders
• Coordinate with the relevant functions to understand the deviations on engineering aspects,
• consult & align with CTO to decide on deviations.
• Drive actions to ensure timely updating the details and communication of the engineering related
• changes to all relevant functions.
• Support SCM during the new vendor development for key components.
• Ensuring effective value engineering to achieve cost optimization
• Maximizing standardization relevant components to optimize the cycle time, cost and stabilize
• the variation of components
• Maintaining accurate technical documentation related to all projects (Order Requisition Sheet,
• Bill of Materials, etc.)
• Enhancing and improvising on the current range of products by evolving and standardizing
• systems and procedures
• Providing technical support to Sales function to ensure smooth functioning of the process of
• getting orders from clients
