Job Description



  • Functional Leadership:
    • Set up and manage the embedded engineering function, including team structure, resource planning, and process optimization.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in embedded systems development.
    • Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering talent to build a high-performing team.


  • Technical Oversight:
    • Lead design, development, verification, and validation of embedded systems for medical devices.
    • Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, IEC) and internal quality systems.
    • Define architecture and technical roadmaps for embedded systems, ensuring scalability and safety.


  • Project & Stakeholder Management:
    • Oversee execution of new product development projects within embedded engineering scope.
    • Collaborate with global R&D and PMO teams to align technical priorities and resource allocation.
    • Manage vendor partners and ensure adherence to the client's IP and quality requirements.


  • Innovation & Compliance:
    • Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance product performance.
    • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and quality regulations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Embedded Systems, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
  • 14+ years of experience in embedded engineering, with at least 10 years in medical devices.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing large engineering teams and complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of real-time operating systems, device drivers, hardware integration, and safety-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
