Our client is looking for engineering director proficient in managing special machines. This full-time permanent position is based in Pune and requires a thorough understanding of engineering concepts and strong leadership skills.

Job Description

Reporting to the Deputy MD and a member of executive board you will be responsible for:

  • Participating in the development of the company's technical vision, ensuring that it is implemented, and guiding the local development department during its implementation
  • Managing the technical/engineering side at local level
  • Ensuring sales support for acquiring new orders
  • Executing customer projects in adherence to the schedules and budgets
  • Implementing standardization tasks across business divisions
  • Implementing market-driven product development in accordance with the guidelines of product management and in consultation with the Group CTO
  • Monitoring and controlling the technical side of the operational business at local level
  • Management tasks including employee/talent development

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director- Engineering should have

  • 15+ years in engineering for industrial automation, with at least 3-4 years in a senior leadership role, managing multi-disciplinary teams in a project-based manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent); advanced degree in engineering or management is an advantage
  • Strong technical skills with hands-on experience in both mechanical and controls engineering. Knowledgeable in linear motion solutions, material handling, and automation technologies is a plus.
