Catering to over 6000+ clients they operate across multiple geographies and are a preferred partner for leading global financial institutions and government agencies.Job DescriptionLead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of engineers focused on developing observability productsFoster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the teamSet clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for the team and ensure alignment with organisational goals.Oversee the design, development, and delivery of observability products using cloud-native tools.Drive the adoption of best practices in observability across the organisation.Work closely with multiple BUs, their leaders, and engineers to promote and facilitate the adoption of observability products.Develop and execute strategies to bring consistency in observability practices across the organisation.Develop and communicate a strategic vision for observability products that align with the company's goals.Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in observability and cloud-native tools to ensure the team is leveraging the bestEstablish metrics and KPIs to monitor the performance and impact of observability products.Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on the status and effectiveness of observability initiatives.Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of current observability tools and practices, making adjustments as necessary.Foster a culture of collaboration and communication within the engineering team and across departments.Participate in the recruitment process to attract top engineering talent, conducting interviews and making hiring decisionsThe Successful ApplicantBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering, at least 5 of those years should be in a leadership role, demonstrating a proven track record of building and managing high-performing engineering teamsExperience with cloud-native tools and architectures, along with in-depth knowledge of logging, metering, tracing, and FinOps practices. They should possess a strong understanding of observability principles and best practices, and have hands-on experience with tools and technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, and other related technologiesExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with multiple BUs and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
