Our client is a reputed entity in the manufacturing industry with a workforce of over 10,000 employees.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement IR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Manage relationships with trade unions and address concerns to maintain a harmonious work environment
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and industry regulations
  • Coordinate with HR and Management to handle grievances, disciplinary issues, and other employee matters
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Lead negotiations for collective bargaining agreements
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives
  • Collaborate with legal department to minimize legal risks

The Successful Applicant

  • MBA in HR/MSW is required.
  • Minimum of 18 years of experience in HR management, with focusing on industrial relations, labor relations, and employee relations in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • An additional degree/certification in labor law will be a strong plus
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, union negotiations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite. Exposure to SAP/Cronos preferred.
  • Prior experience in Assam and fluency in Assamese is a must
  • Exposure to the Electronics industry will be preferred
