Job Description
- Provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of the business.
- Communicate with stakeholders to ensure our company's technologies are used efficiently
- Map out the detailed execution plan to meet the company's technology goals
- Plan resources, hire and groom talent to align with the vision of the organisation
- Be a steward for engineering quality, reliability, scalability habits and mindset in the organisation
- Drive high standard code reviews, design reviews, architecture discussions
- Align and comply with product road map and managing in-house engineering team, contracted development partners
- Set the vision of the domain architecture and technology stack for technology in the engineering teams
- Lead the complete development life cycle, including requirements analysis, strategic planning, design/architecture, execution, deployment, and maintenance.
- Discover and implement cutting edge technologies that yield competitive advantage
- Track, analyse and monitor technology performance metrics and monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
- Actively participate in development along with team members - creating modules & systems that can then be treated as a working reflection of the best practices
The Successful Applicant
- Strong Engineering background with extensive technical breadth
- 15+ years of experience in problem-solving with strategic roles with a proven track record in project management/implementation
- Prior CTO / Head of Engineering / Technical Visionary experience
- Deep understanding & experience of high performance web scale & real-time response systems, and large scale persistent systems
- An effective leader and team-player who knows how to hire and manage the right talent to scale the Engineering team
- Extensive experience in owning and growing system architectures in the e-commerce/omni-channel D2C space
