About Our Client

Our client is a high-growth, innovation-driven precision engineering company, backed by a visionary promoter and global leadership. Specialising in ultra-precision tooling and optics, the company serves sectors such as aerospace, defence, ophthalmic, and electro-optics. Currently in an expansion phase, the firm is building advanced manufacturing capabilities and scaling operations to serve global markets.

Job Description

  • Oversee end-to-end operations including production, supply chain, quality, and plant scale-up-from 30 to 150+ team members-ensuring alignment with business goals and global standards.
  • Lead the setup and integration of new manufacturing facilities, drive operational excellence, and support long-term business strategy in collaboration with global leadership.
  • Bring deep experience in high-precision sectors such as ophthalmic, electro-optics, defence, or aerospace, with technical know-how in micron/nanometre-level manufacturing.
  • Combine strong business insight with engineering expertise to optimise cost, quality, and delivery, and to support innovation and market competitiveness.
  • Work closely with the promoter, CFO, and Global CEO; lead cross-functional teams; and represent Indian operations in global strategy discussions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'COO' should have:

  • A degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, and Marketing.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements of operating in the manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
