Job Description

  1. Strategic Execution & Business Alignment
  • Convert CMD's vision into structured plans with clear milestones, owners, and timelines.
  • Ensure all departments and portfolio companies align to CMD's quarterly and annual priorities.
  • Enable faster decision-making by summarizing trade-offs, scenarios, and implications.
  • Track progress on all strategic initiatives and identify risks early.

  1. CMD's Agenda Ownership
  • Establish CMD's annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly agenda.
  • Drive what CMD should focus on-based on business needs, opportunity, and risk.
  • Filter and prioritize what reaches CMD; protect his time.
  • Ensure CMD has the right intelligence before every meeting.

  1. Portfolio Company Oversight
  • Maintain a complete overview of all businesses CMD is involved in.
  • Track major initiatives, capex, R&D, regulatory matters, BD, M&A, and operations.
  • Ensure senior leadership across each company is aligned, accountable, and delivering.
  • Facilitate cross-company synergy and information flow.

  1. MIS, Analytics & Performance Tracking
  • Build CMD's master dashboard covering all businesses, KPIs, and projects.
  • Monitor operational, financial, regulatory, and strategic metrics.
  • Provide weekly analytical reports highlighting red flags, insights, and recommended focus areas.
  • Ensure CMD always has up-to-date, accurate data.

  1. Meeting Leadership & Communication
  • Own the entire lifecycle of CMD's meetings (agenda → prep → outcomes → follow-up).
  • Ensure meetings end with decisions, owners, deadlines, and clarity.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable for implementation.
  • Capture nuances, unspoken tension points, and strategic implications.

  1. Decision Support & Research
  • Conduct deep research across markets, competitors, regulatory shifts, and macro trends.
  • Prepare concise briefing notes to help CMD take informed decisions quickly.
  • Analyze business proposals, investment decks, acquisitions, and new initiatives.
  • Convert complex reports into crisp insights.

  1. Leadership Coordination & Accountability
  • Serve as the primary bridge between CMD and CXOs/senior leaders.
  • Track commitments made by leadership and ensure timely execution.
  • Provide leaders with clarity on expectations and follow through on outcomes.
  • Maintain organizational discipline in communication and cadence.

  1. Operational Efficiency & Problem Solving
  • Identify inefficiencies across functions and propose corrective frameworks.
  • Resolve bottlenecks before they reach CMD.
  • Improve workflows, communication systems, and internal processes.
  • Create playbooks, templates, SOPs, and structure where needed.

  1. Personal Operating System for CMD
  • Ensure CMD's working bandwidth is optimized at all times.
  • Pre-read, summarize, and prepare materials so CMD walks into every meeting fully armed.
  • Create structure around emails, information flow, and decision cycles.
  • Anticipate needs rather than react to them.

  1. Confidential Advisory Partner
  • Serve as a sounding board for sensitive decisions.
  • Handle confidential information with absolute discretion.
  • Maintain the highest level of judgment, loyalty, and professionalism

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong academic background from top tier universities, preferably in life sciences or Management.
  • 7-15 years in Strategy, Consulting, CXO-office roles, CoS, or senior program management.
  • Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder, fast-moving environments is essential.
  • Proven experience in the consulting and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
