Job Description

  1. Inbound Logistics (Trading Operations)
  • Oversee the management of inbound logistics, ensuring timely and accurate inventory flow to support trading operations.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers, 3PLs, and internal teams to streamline inbound processes, reduce lead times, and manage cost efficiencies.
  • Implement effective KPIs to measure and monitor inbound logistics performance and supplier service levels.
  1. Outbound Logistics (B2B & E-Commerce)
  • Manage end-to-end outbound logistics for both B2B and e-commerce channels, ensuring high standards of delivery accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop scalable logistics solutions for the dynamic growth of e-commerce, ensuring quick response times and last-mile efficiencies.
  • Oversee fulfillment operations, drive productivity and accuracy, and reduce logistical and operational costs.
  1. Continuous Improvement & Operational Efficiency
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance the agility of supply chain operations.
  • Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to identify areas for operational enhancement across all logistics functions.
  • Lead and promote a culture of continuous improvement, empowering teams to take ownership of their processes.
  1. Third-Party Logistics (3PL) & Warehouse Management
  • Oversee 3PL and warehouse performance, ensuring adherence to SLAs and efficient warehouse and inventory management.
  • Develop strong partnerships with logistics providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service levels meet business requirements.
  • Implement best practices for inventory control, warehouse organization, and safety standards.
  1. Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, minimizing risk exposure.
  • Manage contractual liabilities with third-party logistics providers, ensuring adherence to terms and risk mitigation.
  • Implement robust systems to monitor compliance across all logistics functions, reporting issues proactively to senior management.
  1. Stakeholder & Workforce Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including commercial, finance, procurement, and operations teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a large and diverse workforce across logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Ensure workforce productivity, safety, and engagement, driving an inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with the company values.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will bring 10-20 years of experience from a large retail organization, with an impressive track record in managing third-party logistics, warehouse operations, large workforce management, and optimizing both B2B and e-commerce logistics. Strong expertise in stakeholder management, compliance, contractual liabilities, and operational efficiencies is essential.

  • Experience: 10-20 years of experience in supply chain management within a large retail organization, with a focus on 3PL, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading and managing large teams across multiple functions and locations.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, e-commerce logistics, and B2B distribution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong experience in managing cross-functional stakeholders, building effective partnerships, and handling complex negotiations.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Demonstrated expertise in handling compliance requirements, managing risk, and ensuring contractual adherence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean, Six Sigma) to drive process efficiencies.
