Job Description

1. Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Define and execute the company's long‑term renewable energy strategy (solar, wind, storage, hydrogen, biomass, etc.).
  • Drive expansion into new markets, technologies, and revenue streams.
  • Lead business transformation aligned with sustainability and clean‑energy targets.



2. Business & Financial Management

  • Ensure financial stability, profitability, and growth targets.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
  • Develop investor relationships and lead fundraising for large-scale renewable projects (IPP, PPP, EPC, BOOT models).



3. Operational Excellence

  • Drive efficient execution of renewable energy projects (utility‑scale, C&I, rooftop, hybrid solutions).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Implement best practices in project management, supply-chain optimization, and O&M performance.



4. Market Development & Commercial Strategy

  • Lead PPA negotiations with utilities, corporates, and government bodies.
  • Build partnerships with OEMs, EPC contractors, financial institutions, and technology providers.
  • Identify opportunities for M&A, joint ventures, asset acquisition, and market diversification.



5. Stakeholder & Government Relations

  • Represent the company at industry forums, regulatory meetings, and sustainability councils.
  • Influence policy development for renewable energy adoption.
  • Maintain strong relationships with investors, board members, and internal leadership teams.



6. Leadership & People Management

  • Build and mentor a high‑performing leadership team across functions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and sustainability.
  • Ensure workforce development aligned with future energy trends.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Finance/Economics with MBA from a Tier I institute would be highly preferred.
  • 15-25+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with at least 10 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in scaling renewable energy portfolios (solar PV, wind, hybrid, storage, hydrogen, etc.).
  • Experience managing multi-billion‑dollar assets or large-capex infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, regulatory frameworks, grid operations, and carbon markets.
  • Expertise in PPA negotiation, project finance, and EPC/O&M management.
  • Knowledge of digital solutions (SCADA, AI‑enabled forecasting, asset optimization tools).
  • Visionary leadership with excellent decision-making abilities.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and crisis‑management capabilities.
