Job Description

  • Develop the organization-level financial strategy plan based on inputs from the leadership
  • Articulate the strategic financial plans in collaboration with the leadership team
  • Assist in detailing the strategy map, growth plans, anticipated challenges, manpower estimation and financial viability analysis along with other functional heads
  • Analyze and prioritize the impact of external changes and recommend suitable financial action plan to effectively manage and cope with the changes
  • Assist in developing a framework of financial metrics for implementing organization strategy and enabling financial control across all regions
  • Assist in developing and drafting the company policy on legal and company law matters and provides inputs to the leadership from a legal perspective Financial Management
  • Participate in the development of organization budget across all departments/functions on time
  • Monitor adherence to the organization budget and follow up with the function heads
  • Monitor financial performance of regions against set targets/plans and take corrective action, if required
  • Establish and maintain effective financial systems, processes, norms and guidelines to control and minimize financial risk
  • Manage the capital structure, financing mix and financial leverage in order to maximize overall value and profitability
  • Monitor appropriate record keeping, financial obligations, budget and expense control
  • Monitor legal issues/cases are effectively managed with minimal financial impact on the organization Legal
  • Monitor adherence to legal/regulatory guidelines
  • Oversee effective partnering with business teams in case of any legal issues
  • Drive sensitization of Regional Heads & Branch Heads to specific legal requirements of their regions/Branches Operational Excellence
  • Lead the reviews of the annual business plan and organize review meetings to determine progress and status in attaining the strategic and financial objectives along with the Directors
  • Guide the Manager - Finance & Accounts to establish effective and robust financial accounting and cost accounting systems so as to provide timely, accurate and consistent inputs for management reporting and allowing detailed analysis of performance in financial terms
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to achieve optimum cash flow and maintain optimum working capital ratio and reviews the parameters regularly
  • Drive effective tax structuring for the organization in a manner that suffices compliance with regulatory norms while minimizing tax liability
  • Lead the relationships with financial institutions, investors and partners and ensure that funds are made available timely and at the most cost effective interest rates
  • Monitor optimum management of corporate funds through effective treasury management and compliance
  • Drive timely documentation and preparation of all MIS reports; review and analyze variances and take required action People Management
  • Drive a culture of performance amongst subordinates - set goals, review and manage performance, guide and counsel and provide feedback on performance so as to ensure a motivated and committed team
  • Develop the capabilities to take on higher responsibilities while performing the given responsibilities at various levels within the functions
  • Participate in succession planning and recruitment of critical senior & middle management positions within the function

The Successful Applicant

A successful CFO should have:

  • Qualified CA with 18-20 years of experience
  • Extensive experience in financial management within the FMCG industry, preferably in beverages
  • Excellent exposure of leading a high volume, high complexity and hyper-scale business
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements in India.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and grow a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
