The Global D&A CD teams start with the customer, store, shopper, or Unilever user and work backwards to develop solutions. The D&A CD teams innovate to improve and love to learn, hear alternate perspectives and take an outside-in view. We create new ideas that are useful, simplify existing capabilities and ways of working, and identify solutions to hard problems. Job Description

The needs of customers, stores, distributors, shoppers and employees are changing, and we must support customer development in evolving to meet their needs through data and analytics:

  • Customers need… us to help them grow categories, drive penetration, frequency and basket size through promotion, assure on-shelf availability at the lowest possible cost, and grow their own margin through improved trade terms
  • Stores need… to be better served by us through direct reach, improved service quality, and support to create brilliant store experiences
  • Shoppers need… what they want, when they want it, available in their store of choice (off or online), with the right assortment aligned to the shopping mission they are on, activated based on a "segment of one"
  • CD employees need… better data, better insights, better tools to do their jobs more effectively The Global Data & Analytics Program and Product Design for Global Organized Retail supports data and analytics capabilities landing by partnering with Tech (in-house tech teams as well as Vendors) and Solution Factory teams. This will be a hands-on position with a 50/50 split between management and carrying out the roles and responsibilities as detailed. Product management:

* Solution/Tool Design, Setup & Resilience This role is a key contributor in the design and delivery of Global Organized Retail supports data and analytics capabilities - right from hypothesis forming, functional & non functional requirements & finalization to delivery. Therefore, it involves working closely and coordinating with various teams (Technology Services, Enterprise computing, Technical Design Architecture, Landscape, InfoSecetal) to successfully -

a) design new solutions/tools

b) set up new solutions/tools

c) to implement the upgrades for the existing solutions/tools and to implement the resilience measures

* Insight Generation

a) Responsible for introduction of innovative insight generation tools and techniques

b) Build interactive prototypes

c) Execute Solution scale-outs to new areas

* Governance

a) Establish governance with Suppliers, Markets, products

b) Work closely with Senior managers and LT for driving up the usage and penetration

c) Ensure UX guidelines are adhered to and recommend changes in products

d) Should also be able to govern vendor resources to resolve escalations, measure their performance and coordinate any improvements required

e) Generate appropriate MIS for regular updates and controls and drive operational excellence within the team Team & Vendor management:

* Coordinate and manage UL Enterprise Computing/Enterprise Architecture/Solution Factory/InfoSec teams and vendors as applicable

* Ensure adherence to SLA by 3P and drive user satisfaction

* Interface within the team with User Experience Managers to provide a 360-degree offering to the markets and products Stakeholder management:

* Work with teams across reporting lines and help the team management partner with senior stakeholders - including within customer development, supply chain, and markets, to align the top data and analytics pain points and priorities

* Plan and manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously in a highly VUCA and ruthless market

* Translate the development+ deployment plans & requests to actionable items and communicate the on-ground development/problems to the team management through on-time MIS

The Successful Applicant

Overall 5+ years of relevant work experience, with minimum 2+ years in data and analytics

* Strong stakeholder management skills are a pre-requisite

* Appreciation of Data Visualization concepts

* Working with varied IT teams to resolve dependencies and impediments

* Familiarity with Agile methodology, JIRA, Teams, SharePoint

* Desirable: Cloud based applications, UXcentric, Power BI, MS Azure, WebApp

* Working experience in Data Analytics and Information products

* Familiarity with Unilever Processes and various teams involved in the lifecycle of a product/platform

* Gathering requirements

* Problem Solving Skills I
