Job Description

As a member of the Organization's Management Committee (MANCOM), the role-holder is expected to

 Provide future-ready solutions for sustainable business performance and creating shareholder value

 Co-lead organic and inorganic expansion activities

To succeed in this role, you should be:

 A critical thinker, view the big picture and an expert at turning complex topics into simple executive-level narratives

 Able to operate effectively in high ambiguity.

 Able to build long-term product partnerships focused on strategy and operations capability

 Able to identify strategic needs, lead all aspects of planning with sound business recommendations, and generate alignment with key business functions and sometimes external partners as well

 Someone with very strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

 Naturally assured to deal with internal and external customers- running cross functional teams comes easily to you

 At ease with presentations which seamlessly create a narrative with data and story-telling

 A professional with track record of managing and mentoring high potential teams with high integrity and ability to inspire

 Strong work ethic, hardworking, willing to stretch to meet deadlines

The Successful Applicant


 Fellow of Society of Actuaries, Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or other life actuarial

qualifications from a recognized professional body


 Minimum of 15 years of actuarial experience in pricing for life and health (re)insurance

 Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience and at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in statutory valuation

 Technical experience in specialist fields of financial reinsurance and/or mortality,

morbidity , health and critical illness

 Geographical experience in India, UK, Europe and Asia Pacific

 Actuarial & Statistical modeling

 Technically proficient in MS Excel, Visual basic, Database management tools (Access/SQL) and working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS Word

 Working knowledge of statutory regulations and norms on reserving & solvency

 Expertise in global and continuously evolving actuarial practices and guidelines
