The Assistant Manager - HSSE will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards to ensure compliance and operational excellence. This role is based in Mumbai and requires expertise in the energy and natural resources industry, specifically in power generation.

Job Description

  • Implement and monitor HSSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Develop and deliver HSSE training programs to enhance awareness and competence among employees and contractors.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to HSSE activities and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Monitor environmental performance and implement measures to minimize environmental impact.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response planning to ensure readiness for any potential incidents.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Manager - HSSE should have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Proven knowledge of HSSE regulations, standards, and best practices in the energy and natural resources sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address safety and environmental challenges effectively.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions and promoting safety awareness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in a power generation environment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills to ensure clear reporting and compliance.
