Job Description



HR Strategic Planning & Implementation:

  • Partner with leadership teams to design and execute HR strategies that align with the organization's objectives.
  • Identify and lead strategic HR initiatives, including the introduction of a new PMS, Succession planning, Employee engagement programs, and the development of new HR policies and frameworks that align with industry standards for competitiveness.

Project Management and Coordination:

  • Lead & oversee strategic HR projects from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with HR goals and effective resource management.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

  • Develop & track KPIs to assess the effectiveness of HR strategic initiatives, providing data for continuous improvement.
  • Use HR metrics and analytics to guide strategic decisions and measure the success of HR initiatives.

Change & Risk Management:

  • Lead organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and securing employee buy-in.
  • Identify & mitigate potential risks in HR strategic initiatives as part of comprehensive risk management efforts.

HR Technology & Systems:

  • Oversee the implementation & management of HR technology, including KEBS automations, to support the organization's goal of becoming an AI-first, digital transformation (DX) company.
  • Leverage HR technology to optimize strategic processes and enhance service delivery through digital transformation.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to the Strategic Initiative team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support team members' professional growth and development.
  • Assign tasks and monitor progress in line with the PMS, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
  • Promote a healthy work-life balance for the Strategic Initiative team.

Operations Management:

  • Ensure HR SG&A costs remain within the approved budget for Strategic Initiatives.
  • Lead monthly team meetings for direct reports to keep the team updated on organizational progress.
  • Monitor the conduct of Strategic Initiative meetings across all levels of the organization.

Policy Overview and Compliance:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers and employees on interpreting and applying HR policies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate for the position of 'Associate Director - Strategic Initiatives' must have:

  • 12-17 years of overall experience in human resources, with at least 8-10 years of progressive experience in managing HR Strategic Initiatives or HR Transformation, preferably in Consulting/IT Companies
  • Experience in any Consulting or IT Services organization
  • Knowledge on Labor Laws & Regulations, Performance Mgt, Emp Engagement, L&D, OD, HR Analytics & Metrics, HRIS, Budgeting & Financials, Risk Mgt
  • Know-how in strategic planning frameworks & methodologies, including SWOT analysis etc.
  • MBA/ PGDM required
  • HR Certification/ Management Development Programme (MDP) from Premiere B-Schools is preferred, but not necessary
  • Chennai as current location
