The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts receivable operations, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records, managing credit risk, and maintaining healthy cash flow. This role is integral to the Accounting & Finance department within the manufacturing Industry in Mumbai.

Job Description

  • Oversee and manage the accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
  • Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely resolution.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and performance for management review.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection processes and reduce outstanding debts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as sales and customer service to resolve any billing discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations related to accounts receivable operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to the accounts receivable team to achieve department goals effectively.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager should have:

  • Charted Accountant (CA).
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and financial principles.
  • Experience in the Industrial / Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
