Job Description

Directly reporting to the Executive (Group Product Portfolio), your main responsibilities will entail initiating and overseeing new business development projects in the region by:

  • Identifying, negotiating and concluding strategic new business opportunities in line with the company’s business development strategy
  • Serving as an interface between the NBD Division and internal/external customers and ensure timely delivery of dossiers
  • Negotiating on commercial and legal terms with each vendor per territory and meeting potential suppliers to discuss new opportunities with Pharma, OTC and Consumer markets
  • Resolving all pending matters internally with Legal, Regulatory, Factory, Marketing, Finance and Head Office
  • Interacting on a strategic level with all international territory MD’s and Marketing groups
  • Updating GAP lists and co-ordinating and maintaining comparison reports
  • Researching IMS/Tender/Export market share projections for each territory and ensuring that correct assumptions are made for each project
  • Resolving customer queries in the shortest possible time frame adhering to company policy framework
  • Understanding the market dynamics of each international territory in order to optimize business opportunities

The Successful Applicant
You are a Graduate in Pharmacy with an MBA from a top tier business school, with at least 3 years of professional experience in sales and marketing roles within the pharmaceutical industry. You should ideally have managed customer vendor contracts and cost structures before. You should have extensive knowledge of the regulatory environment in India. You should be an effective communicator, with a prior history of successfully negotiating deals.
