About Our Client
The company, a subsidiary of French automaker Peugeot, provides logistics and supply chain management for OEMs, as well as overland transport, sea and air transport, vehicle distribution, containers management, and customs services. Its vehicle distribution division delivers cars from factory to showroom or distribution warehouse to rental agency. Building up its automotive logistics arm, the company in mid-2011 purchased a 70% stake in Gruppo Mercurio, an Italian car transportation and distribution business. GEFCO customers include Fiat, Harley-Davidson, Volkswagen, Budget, and Hertz. It has 400 locations in Europe, South America, and Asia.

Job Description

In a pan India role incorporating traveling all over the country, reporting to the Country Manager, your main responsibilities will be to carry out sales negotiations focusing on price, quantity and working to a specific time frame by:

  • Closely analyze and monitor market trends. You will secure legal aspects within contracts as well as implement all commercial instruments – I.e, brochures, mailings and local marketing policy.
  • You will be expected to thoroughly assess the technical, commercial and financial feasibility of the needs and requirements of each client and service accordingly.
  • You will also present and promote the companies image with clients ensuring GEFCO India is represented effectively.
  • Also you will be expected to provide feedback of important sales information to management and complete site visit reports.

The Successful Applicant
You possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal as well as excellent organizational skills. You must have relevant logistics experience and have an open minded personality. Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain fundamentals. Local knowledge of key competitors and trend analysis is a must. You must be fluent in English and have strong understanding of local cultures throughout India.
